Bend--Renaissance Homes has added
three newly designed smaller homes to its offering here,
in part, to satisfy demand from its Portland customers
for second homes in this Central Oregon community.
Already, the firm has sold three of
the 1,887-square-foot garage-in-rear Feldspar models,
the smallest of two new models, designed by Home Builders
Network of Maryland and Bends’ Miller and Shaw.
Base price for the three-bedroom, 2.5 bath home is $418,900.
These sales were to Portland owners of homes by Renaissance.
“Although it also could serve
as a primary residence, we added the Feldspar and other
plans to our Bend lineup because we were getting calls
and e-mail inquiries from people who’d bought
Renaissance homes in Portland asking us if we had something
in Bend suitable for a second home,” said Randy
Sebastian, Renaissance president.
It joins two other garage-in-rear homes
and two traditional garage models in a collection of
smaller homes currently among the offerings at Renaissance
Ridge off Brookswood Blvd. at Aspen Rim Lane in Bend’s
south end, near the Old Mill District.
Besides the Feldspar, Sebastian announced the addition
of the 2,316-square-foot Shale and 2,466-square-foot
Basalt to its line of garage-in-rear homes being offered
at Renassance Ridge. Renaissance smaller models here
range from the 1,887 square feet to 2,466 square feet.
All have three bedrooms and 2.5 baths.
“Of course people buy second
homes in all sizes–and we’re offering larger
models ranging from2,669 square feet to3357 square feet--but
the smaller ones are often more practical for vacation
home needs,” said Sebastian.
Front yard maintenance is included
in the 88 smaller homes, (many are garage-in-rear models)
which Renaissance officials expect will add to their
interest as second homes.
The first Feldspars are expected to
be completed this fall, but some of the other smaller
models will be finished sooner.
Overall, Renaissance has sold 18 homes in the 210-home
Renaissance Ridge.
Although it is relatively new to Bend,
Renaissance Homes is one of Portland’s largest
builders. In the Portland Street of Dreams, Renaissance
has entered six time and won Best of Show five times,
more than any other builder.
All its Bend homes are built to Earth
Advantage standards and base prices include such standard
