Renaissance Homes has opened sales
simultaneously on two new neighborhoods adjacent to
each other in the Fisher’s Landing area of Vancouver.
Renaissance President Randy Sebastian
announced the opening of The Lakes, a $30,8 million
gated town home community and Hiddenbrook, a $13.4 million
paired town home community on SE 43rd off Hiddenbrook
Drive.
The 88 town homes at The Lakes will
run from 1,651 square feet with two bedrooms and 2.5
baths to 2,966 square feet with three bedrooms and 2.5
baths. Base prices will range from $399,900 to $499,900.
Hiddenbrook will have 28 homes ranging
from 1,613 square feet to 2521 square feet and from
two to three bedrooms with 2.5 baths. Base prices will
run from $359,900 to $422,900.
Although the two neighborhoods are
adjacent on one of the last available parcels in the
popular Fisher’s Landing, Sebastian said he decided
to give them different names “because each has
a distinctive personality because of the type home and
the land”.
He described The Lakes as “Fisher’s
Landings most upscale town homes. Hiddenbrook will have
all the upscale touches expected in a Renaissance Home,
but will be priced for someone looking for a little
lower price point,” he said.
“We know there is a growing demand
for luxury town homes from people who travel or who
have second homes and don’t want the maintenance
of a standard fully detached home,” Sebastian
said.
The Lakes builds on the success of
the firm’s popular Peterkort Woods, its first
town home neighborhood, near St. Vincent hospital just
north of Highway 26 in Southwest Portland.
“By watching the success of Portland’s
downtown Pearl district, we knew there was high demand
for upscale multi-family housing condominium and town
homes in downtown. The success of Peterkort showed that
there also is a demand for high quality town homes elsewhere
in the metro area,” Sebastian said.
New at The Lakes is a one story town
home, difficult to find in today’s market, and
most of the homes are being positioned to take advantage
of the two small lakes and stream on the property’s
west edge, said Katrin Crum, community manager for both
properties.
“We’ve really been careful
to preserve a lot of trees and provide a lovely green
space to keep a resort feel here. There is a walking
path along the lakes and stream,” Crum said.
Hiddenbrook’s paired town homes
mean that each home is an end unit, she said, adding
that this is their first appearance in the Portland
area after a successful introduction by Renaissance
in one of Seattle’s more trendy neighborhoods.
“These are nice level home sites
and there is more open space in back than at The Lakes.
We’re able to have a nice private patio with each
home and some back to a green belt,” she said.
Homes in both neighborhoods have two
car garages.
A model home at The Lakes is expected
to be completed early in 2007 with first move-ins by
late spring or early summer. Initial Hiddenbrook homes
should be complete in February with first move-ins in
early spring.

sales by 40 percent over 2005. The firm had $114 million
in sales through Sept. Of this year.

largest markets. The firm also has neighborhoods underway
