Renaissance Homes has announced plans
for a second neighborhood in Camas.
Infrastructure development is underway
at Hunter Ridge, a 30-home gated community on Astor
Street, which will feature lots ranging from 9,400 square
feet to 13,784 square feet.
“Sometimes you find a great piece
of ground in a location you just can’t pass up.
That’s what happened with Hunter Ridge,”
said Renaissance President Randy Sebastian.
Sebastian’s new community will
be on one of the last remaining view parcels on Prune
Hill and many of its homes will have expansive views
of Mt. Hood, the Columbia River and the Columbia River
Gorge.
Sloping property provides opportunities
for nine daylight basement models and Community Manager
Katrin Crum said activity at the site already had generated
a substantial amount of interest.
“I think the privacy and security
of a gated community and the exceptional views have
helped create an extraordinary amount of early interest,
an unusual occurrence in today’s market,”
Crum said.
Currently, Crum is developing an “interest”
list and she is encouraging potential buyers to visit
Renaissance’ nearby Renaissance Summit, at 12th
Circle off Brady Rd., because many of the home models
there will be duplicated at Hunter Ridge.
Because the two neighborhoods are so
close, sales office for Hunter Ridge will be in the
Renaissance Summit model home, Crum said. She expects
to begin taking reservations in early January.
Hunter Ridge will be Renaissance Homes’
sixth southwest Washington neighborhood.
Renaissance Homes is one of the metropolitan
area’s largest residential builders. Besides Clark
County, it has neighborhoods underway in Forest Grove,
Sherwood, West Linn, Happy Valley, Wilsonville, Beaverton,
southwest Portland, on the Oregon Golf Association golf
course at Tukwila and in Bend
