BEND–Renaissance Homes has opened
sales its 59-home $37.8 million Shevlin Pines here on
Shevlin Park Road at NW Park Common Drive.
Homes in Shevlin Pines will run from
2,124 square feet with two or three bedrooms and two
baths to to 3,551 square feet with four bedrooms and
three baths with den and bonus room. There will be two
homes with five car garages. Initial base prices run
from $599,900 to $729,900 with additional pricing expected
later for a few special lot situations. The neighborhood
will have a swimming pool with bath house.
Renaissance expects the first move-ins
late this year.
“This is a premier location on
Bend’s west side. We were really pleased to get
this piece of property because its right among some
of Bend’s best neighborhoods with a treed ambience
which should make it a very popular location,”
said Renaissance President Randy Sebastian.
Sales will be handled from an unusual
3,800-square-foot log house which was being developed
on the property by the former owner who was “spending
a lot of spare time lovingly crafting this magnificent
structure,” Sebastian said. It will be open 2
p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday; Noon p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday,
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and closed Wednesday and
Thursday.
Soaring, timbered ceilings and a floor to ceiling water
feature will greet visitors to the sales office which
is “unlike anything I’ve ever sold from,”
said Renaissance Broker Michelle Gregg who will be handling
sales at Shevlin Pines. When sales are completed the
home will be sold.
Prior to opening sales, Gregg said,
she’d been getting calls from people with homes
in surrounding neighborhoods.
“This is one of Bend’s
premier areas. There are a lot of very big homes here,
often on relatively small lots, which means that they’ve
got a neighbor very close-by. We’re dealing with
8,000 to 9,000 square foot lots–some up to 80
feet wide–and will be putting homes with smaller
footprints on them meaning that people won’t feel
so packed in,” Gregg said.
Because the property slopes, there will be some mountain
views and Gregg said lot premiums ranging from $600
to $32,000 will be added to the base prices.
All homes will be built to Renaissance’
“Living Green” standards, a package of environmentally
sound Earth Advantage and Energy Star building practices
and materials. Renaissance was Oregon’s first
major builder with a full-time director of builder science,
responsible for overseeing and continually improving
Renaissance’ Living Green materials and systems.
