Renaissance Opens Two New Models in Bend’s Renaissance Ridge

BEND--Renaissance Homes has opened two new model homes at its 210-home, $21 million Renaissance Ridge on Brookswood Drive south of the Old Mill district here, bringing to three the number of models showing off some of Renaissance more popular interior options.

By mid-July, a 1,887-square-foot Basalt, featuring three bedrooms, 2.5 baths and a loft and den, and a 3,049-square-foot three bedroom, three bath Spruce will be open from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday. Both models have garage entries in the rear.

Overall, Renaissance Ridge homes range from 1,610 square feet with three bedrooms and 2.5 baths to 3,354 square feet with three bedrooms and three baths. Base prices range from $367,900 to $590,900.

“Opening additional models is a bit of an investment on our part, but there’s no better way to showcase the quality of our finish work. Since this is one of our largest residential neighborhoods ever, we also felt that these two new homes would be a good way to give people a better appreciation of some of our more popular options,” said Renaissance President Randy Sebastian.

Renaissance has begun work on a 2,500 square-foot design center at its Bend office, 55 NW Wall Street, Bldg. A. It is scheduled to open August. The firm’s Portland design center recently received the national gold award as Best Design Center in the Country in the National Association of Homebuilders National Sales and Marketing Awards. Bend buyers are using the award winning Portland design center until one in Bend is completed.

So far, the firm has sold 34 homes in Renaissance Ridge’s first phase and it watched the pace pick up during the first quarter of 2007, which included four sales where Mercedes Smart Cars were given with the home purchase. It was the best showing for Renaissance’ month-long Smart Car promotion in February which occurred at several Portland area neighborhoods, as well.

Up to this point, most Buyers at Renaissance Ridge have been local people who “want to have access to the west side schools and who like the community feeling of this location, its close proximity to downtown and the fact that this Brookswood area is all residential. It isn’t mixed with commercial or industrial,” said Julian Wright, the firm’s broker at Renaissance Ridge.
He also expected the large central park, containing a swimming pool with pool house, covered fireplace area and play structure to be a draw. It opened in late May.

Addresses of the new models are 6171 Princeton Loop and 19665 Aspen Ridge Drive. More information on Renaissance Ridge is available from Wright at 541-389-7333.

Renaissance Ridge is one of three Bend neighborhoods currently underway or about to open. Shevlin Pines on Shevlin Park road contains 59 homes and Fremont Place, which has 30 live/work townhomes in Brooks Resources’ NorthWest Crossing.

For the last four years, all Renassance homes have been built to the firm’s Living Green standards, a package of environmentally sound building techniques and products which meet Earth Advantage and Energy Star program specifications. Renaissance was Oregon’s first builder to have a full-time director of building science overseeing and continually improving its “green” building program.

Renaissance Homes is one of Oregon’s largest residential builders. Besides Bend, it currently has neighborhoods underway in Beaverton, Sherwood, Wilsonville, Forest Grove, southwest Portland, West Linn, on the OGA Golf Course at Tukwila and Vancouver and Camas in southwest Washington.
