Renaissance Homes, one of Oregon’s largest homebuilders, reported strong sales over the Presidents Day weekend, February 15-18, 2008 according to Renaissance President Randy Sebastian. The company’s “Sweetheart Sale” generated sales in excess of $12 million with 24 homes being sold in Portland, Bend and Clark County Washington. “This is continuing evidence that the local real estate market is healthy and our homes continue to meet the high expectations of the new home buyer,” Sebastian said.
“Further,” Sebastian said, “contrary to what people read in the papers, our 2007 performance was the 2nd best in the company’s history, exceeded only by 2006 when Renaissance doubled in size!” In 2007 we sold 225 homes for gross revenues of more than $ 124 million. Based on sales so far in 2008, we believe this year will show a modest decline but will still be among the five best in the company’s nearly 25 years in business.” Sebastian credits the success to the company’s strategy of being innovative in home construction and green building techniques as well as new and creative home designs to stay ahead of the competition.
Renaissance remains an industry leader, having recently won national awards for their Design Center (Gold Award - Best in the Nation) and their web-site, a Silver Award winner, announced last month at the International Builders Show in Orlando, Florida. In addition, Renaissance is the only builder to win the Portland Metropolitan Homebuilders Street of Dreams ‘Best of Show’ competition five times. Renaissance Homes is one of the area’s largest residential builders and has been recognized with numerous green building awards. Renaissance is one of Oregon’s only builders with a Manager of Building Science on staff to oversee and improve the firm’s Living Green sustainability programs. Besides southwest Washington, it has neighborhoods underway across the state of Oregon in Forest Grove, West Linn, Beaverton, and southwest Portland, on the OGA golf course at Tukwila and also in Bend.
